Wild and Kind K9 Beginners Detection Dog 6 week course- Kendal
What to expect
​
Over 6 one hour sessions, you and your dog will learn how to detect Kong with around 5/6 other dogs and handlers.
The first few sessions will work on teaching your dog how to search, then to search for the odour of Kong and then to indicate with a sit stare to earn them a reward. The following sessions will involve you and the dogs searching different items including chairs, novel items, and even cars! The final session will be a mock trial where you and your dog can put your skills to the test and get a rosette and certificate.

Who can come?
​
Anyone! I recommend one handler per dog as the activities are quite one-one. Scent work is a great way to help with reactive, nervous, over-excitable and/or unfocussed dogs.

What to expect
​
This course covers all the basic skills to create a 'good dog'! This is the kind of dog everyone wants but maybe is not sure of how to achieve or needs some guidance- this 6 week course is perfect for you!
We will cover basic skills such as:
- Drop and leave
- Reliable recall
- Loose lead
- Place and settle

Who can come?
​
Anyone! Ideally anyone who wants to create a good dog through reliable, research approved dog training!
Why come?

6 hours of time with a degree-level qualified animal behaviourist and operational dog trainer (for less than £17 per hour!)

You will improve the bond you have with your dog
