MEET THE TRAINER

Hi, I'm Izzy

I have a First Class BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare where I deepened my love and passion for dogs and completed my dissertation on body language of pet dogs completing scentwork tasks as observed by handlers.

I have owned dogs since I was 5 and I’ve worked with dogs in lots of capacities; training detection dogs, kennels, rescue centres, training and day cares and am Dog First Aid qualified.

My degree and my experience in many dog environments puts me in a confident position when it comes to understanding many breeds, their behaviour, and how is best to move forward for the dog and the owner. I strongly advocate for force-free training as I believe all relationships with dogs should be built on trust and respect. I also believe in training the owner and not just the dog.

I have trained operational detection dogs so have a good idea of what goes into making a well-mannered dog but also have a good understanding of working dog breeds and how to use their drive and energy for your benefit in training.
